Invisible fences: This is an electric gate that has electric lines buried around the perimeter of the owner's property. Whenever the dog gets near the line, its collar makes a warning sound, and then it delivers an uncomfortable electric shock if the dog continues to move forward. There is not a way for a dog to dig its way out of these fences. However, this has not proven to be the best method as some larger dogs or excited dogs can escape by simply ignoring the electric shock. dog houses

Outdoors housing: There are many different types of dogs that like living outdoors, as long as they get the necessary amount of stimulation and support. If your intention is to have your dog live outside the house, make sure that he has first of all a proper house to live in. Good dog houses and kennels should meet or exceed safety regulations. The house must be raised from the ground, and be large enough for your dog to turn around in comfortably and easily. It should also be located in the shade inside a fenced area. Put bedding (hay or clean towels) during wintertime. Water is something your dog should always have access to as well, and this must be constantly changed.

There are experts that believe that leaving a dog outside for too long can actually ruin some of his performance. Dogs naturally want to be with their family (in this case you) and leaving them outside in dog houses and kennels might seem like a punishment to them. Another factor about dogs that live outside is that they receive less human affection, which makes them less sociable.
