Puppy dog collapse: If your puppy should collapse the first thing that you need to do is stay calm. The first and most important thing that you can do for your puppy is to make sure that it is comfortable. Cover it with a blanket if necessary to help it stay warm (but be careful not to overheat it). Try to place it in a quiet and dark area. If you can pull the curtains shut or turn off most of the lights. Have some fresh water close at hand and once your puppy dog is able to drink let them. It is a good sign when the dog starts drinking. Call your veterinarian right away. The reasons that a puppy might collapse are many and varied.
